تسوس الاسنان
يمكن ان يحدث تسوس للاسنان نتيجة تراكم بقايا الطعام والجير والترسبات على الاسنان الناتجين من عدم نظافة الاسنان بصفة مستمرة. او نتيجة امراض اللثة او خراج بالاسنان.
اولا: اعراض تسوس الاسنان
- الم الاسنان قد يظل مستمر ولا تستطيع النوم منه او الم حاد .
- حساسية فى الاسنان حيث تشعر بالالم عند تناول شى سخن او بارد او حلوى.
- ظهور بقع رمادية او بنية او سوداء على اسنانك.
- رائحة الفم كريهة.
- طعم غير سار فى فمك.
زيارة طبيب الاسنان
يجب عليك زيارة طبيب الاسنان بانتظام بحيث يتمكن من اكتشاف اى تسوس بالاسنان مبكرا وكذلك يتم العلاج فى المراحل الاولى له والوقاية من حدوث التسوس للاسنان
حيث يتمكن اطباء الاسنان من فحص وتحديد تسوس الاسنان من خلال فحص بسيط او بالاشعة السينية.
وبالتالى يجب على البالغين اجراء فحص طبى على الاسنان مرة واحدة كل عامين والاطفال الذين تقل اعمارهم عن 18 سنه يخضعون لفحص طبى مرة كل سنة.
ثانيا: علاج تسوس الاسنان
*يعتمد علاج تسوس الاسنان على مدى تقدمه:
- اذا كنت فى مرحلة مبكرة من تسوس الاسنان سوف يتحدث طيب الاسنان معك عن نظامك الغذائى وكمية السكر فيه والاوقات التى تتناولهاويمكنك استخدام دهان الفلورايد الذى يدعم الاسنان ويجعلها اكثر مقاومة للاحماض والتسوس .
- وقد يعرض عليك الطبيب حشو او تاج اذا كان الامر يستدعى ذلكوهذا يتضمن ازالة التسوس من الاسنان وضع مخدر موضعى لتخدير السن ومل الفحرة واذا كان التسوس.
- قد انتشر فى وسط السن اى انه وصل للعصب فيمكن ازالة هذا من خلال عملية تسمى علاج قناة الجذر.
- واذا تضرر السن بشدة بحيث لا يمكن استعادته قد تحتاج الى ازالته ويكون الطبيب قادرا على استبداله باستخدام طقم اسنان جرئى او غرسه.
تكلفة علاج الاسنان
تختلف تكلفة علاج الاسنان الخاصة بين الممارسات حيث لا توجد رسوم محددة ولكن يتم تحديد رسوم مدعمة من قبل الحكومة وعادة يتم تقييم الرسوم كل عام .

- تجنب التدخين او شرب الكحول بشكل مفرط حيث يمكن للتبغ التخل فى انتاج اللعاب .
- استشر طبيبك اذا كان لديك جفاف الفم بصورة مستمرة قد يحدث هذا بسبب الادوية.
كيفية حماية اسنان طفلك
يمكنك المحافظة على اسنان طفلك صحية من خلال المحافظة على نظام غذائى صحى ومتوازن قليل السكريات وبالتالى يمكن تجنب تسوس الاسنان وايضا التشجيع على الزيارات المنتظمة للطبيب.
من المهم ايضا تعليم طفلك كيفية تنظيف اسنانه بطريقة صحية ومنتظمة ويجب ان يستخدم الصغال معجون اسنان للاطفال .
يجب على الطفل غسل اسنانه بالفرشاه مرتن يوميا وخاصة قبل النوم.
كيف تسبب الترسبات تسوس الاسنان ؟
فمك ملئ بالبكتيريا التى تكون طبقة فوق الاسنان، عندما تتناول الطعام الغنى بالكربوهيدرات وخاصة الاطعمة والمشروبات السكرية تقوم البكتيريا الموجودة على الطبقة الموجودة على الاسنان بتحويل الكربوهيدرات الى طاقة تحتاج اليها لانتاج الحمض فى نفغس الوقت.
واذا سمح لهذه الطبقة ان تتراكم اكثر يمكن ان يبدا الحمض فى اذابة سطح السن مما يسبب ثقوبا تعرف بالفجوات.
بمجرد ان تتشكل الفجوات يمكن ان تصل البكتيريا الى العاج وهى الطبقى اللينة التى تشبة العظام .
بدون علاج تدخل البكتيريا الى اللب وهو المركز الناعم للاسنان الذى يحتوى على الاعصاب والاوعية الدمويةوفى هذة المرحلة تصاب الاسنان بالالم نتيجة تعرض الاعصاب الى البكتيريا .
ويمكن ايضا للبكتيريا ان تسبب خراج فى اللب ويمكن ان تنتشر العدوى فى العظام مما يسبب نوع اخر من الخراج.
